The Zizzi Team’s Going Green Initiative for 2020 marches on with a fun & creative challenge to see how little waste we can produce throughout the month of July!

  Here are some inspiring ideas:

1.)  Compost!

Collect those cutting board scraps, coffee grinds, eggshells & all other food waste, & start your own backyard compost or check to see if your community has a local drop-off.  Over time, you will have nutrient-rich, reusable soil!

2.)  Zero Waste Grocery Shopping

 This is a unique challenge!  Grocery stores are filled with single use plastics, so see how creative you can be.  Be mindful of packaging as you choose your products & instead of grabbing a plastic bag to place your produce in, bring a reusable bag from home or buy products in bulk.

3.)  Reusable Water Bottles or Coffee Cups

Save money by filling those water bottles with tap water before you head out the door or the next time you stop by your favorite café for your morning coffee, bring your own container.
